Dear River Oaks Neighbors,

ROPO just received the following information from CenterPoint Energy about the installation of new gas lines for the addresses listed below the CenterPoint letter.   This is the second phase of new gas lines that CenterPoint Energy started installing last year.

 Dear CenterPoint Energy Customer:  

Re: Construction of 2 inch gas line beginning in the back easement between Inwood and Del Monte from 185’ west of Bellmeade to Shepherd. Also in a side easement running north & south between 3027 & 3195 Inwood & 3032 & 3196 Del Monte and then crossing Inwood to the north right of way and turning east in said right of way to the southwest corner of Lazy Lane and then heading north on the west right of way of Lazy Lane stopping at the north east corner of the property at 2990 Lazy Lane. Then in a side easement running north & south between 2909 & 2923 Inwood & 2910 & 2920 Del Monte. Also in the back easement between Pelham and Del Monte starting from the east right of way of Kirby to Shepherd. Also on the east right of way of Chilton starting approximately 35’ south of the south right of way of Pelham and heading north, ending approximately 60’ north of the north right of way of Del Monte. Also on the north right of way of Peden from 225’ west of the west right of way of McDuffie and heading west to an ending point 85’ east of the east right of way of Shepherd. Finally work will be performed on the east right of way line of Shepherd within the Shepherd right of way near the north east corner of the property at 2104 Inwood.

CenterPoint Energy is planning to install a 2 inch plastic gas line as indicated in the route description shown above.  Construction methods will be utilized to minimize restoration of the construction area.  Every effort will be made to restore the work area back to original condition.

Gas service to your residence will not be interrupted. This project is estimated to take approximately 5-6 months.  Work is anticipated to start during the next 10-15 days.  Should you have any questions, please feel free to call.
