River Oaks Patrol Alarm Receiver

River Oaks Patrol has Osborne-Hoffman 2000 alarm receivers that are considered the finest in alarm monitoring equipment. These receivers enable us to receive any type of alarm system installed in River Oaks. There is no additional charge for connecting to this service and once connected your alarm comes directly to our dispatcher. This eliminates a third party and reduces the response time. If your alarm company is unsure about connecting or communicating with our system please have them contact us. Our receiver is capable of receiving all known alarm codes including contact ID. Occasionally we have found that a property owner assumes they are directly connected to our alarm system because River Oaks Patrol responded to their alarm. However, the property owner subsequently discovers that their alarm system is not connected to the River Oaks receiver. If you are not convinced you are directly connected call the River Oaks dispatcher at 713-622-0001 and test your system.

In an effort to improve our services we have installed a call logging system. This system will record all incoming and outgoing telephone conversations as well as all radio communications. This high quality system will provide us with additional quality assurance.

All residents should check and ensure that they have a clear and easy to locate
house number.  This will help River Oaks Patrol and emergency vehicles
find your home much faster.

Tips For Reducing Your Homeowners Insurance

In accordance with the Texas Insurance Code, Chapter 5, amended article 5.33A, section 6(a), homeowners are eligible for a 5%, 15% or 20% reduction in their homeowners insurance premiums if they comply with the standards. A 5% reduction is available for homeowners who comply with the security hardware provisions and a 15% is offered for those who comply with the alarm requirements. A total reduction of 20% is available for homeowners who comply with both the security hardware and the alarm provisions of the code.

The only persons who may perform these inspections are law enforcement officers who have been certified as inspectors by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education. When you feel you have complied with the requirements, please call the Houston Police Community Services Office at 281-584-4957 to arrange for an officer to inspect you home FREE of charge. Office hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday. If you have any questions about this service please call.
